Andrew Yu is currently with Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) managing all the marketing efforts in Asia. Prior to joining the FCEDA, he was a product marketing manager at Freescale Semiconductor (a Motorola company) where he was with a team developing the 3G and 4G (LTE) mobile handsets. Subsequent to to Freescale, Andrew also spent 7 years at a start-up software development company managing corporate marketing activities and served as the acting country manager in Korea and Asia as the regional business development manager. He experienced that company grow from a 40 man company to nearly 250 person company before it was sold to Freescale. In 2010 Andrew co-founded a company that was researching and developing a new kind of wind turbine. That endeavor still remains a dream. Mr. Yu received his BS in International Business at Illinois State University, and MBA in Marketing and Finance from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He lives in Clifton, VA with his wife and two kids.
Andrew have some experiences as an observer of other start ups, as an investor, and as an entrepreneur. He can mentor start-ups on market analysis, strategy and tactical execution.
